GRADE 8 INTERVENTION RETREAT

Updated: Sep 27, 2023

“When we retreat from the noise of the world in silence, we gain a new perspective on the world.” (Cardinal Robert Sarah). An intervention retreat was planned for Grade 8 with the purpose to temporarily leave behind the usual distractions of student life at school, at home and wherever, to allow relaxation and for an inner change to occur: the ongoing conversion of heart that is critical to deepening faith. The retreat was led by School Chaplain Fr Andrew Wilson, and took place at the Hope House Chapel in Fatu-o-Aiga. As a culminating event, they represented Marist St. Francis to present Thanksgiving gifts to Hope House - the only home-care facility of its kind in American Samoa, for the infirm, disabled and elderly without regard for the denomination of faith. Lunch was provided for the students and they ended their retreat at Lion’s Park.
